Just back from a really successful tour in Beautiful Tanzania, we have received some fantastic news. Seckou Keita’s song “Chelima” recorded live in Dakar in 2007 has been selected as a finalist in the
International Songwriting Competition. The finalists were chosen from over 15,000 entrants from all over the world! What a great achievement!!!
.
All finalists’ songs have been posted online since February 5th as part of the People’s Voice, an online voting contest that allows the public to listen to all the finalists’ songs and vote for their favourite. The People’s Voice is separate from, and in addition to, the winners selected by ISC’s panel of judges. If you want to support Seckou’s song, you can start voting now.
All other entries are currently in the judges’ hands, and we will announce the winners in April as soon as the judging process is competed.
