There are still a few places left for the unique week-end workshop with master drummer Mamady Keita. It will take place in High Wycombe from Friday 23 (evening ) to Sunday 25 May. If you want to learn new things from the master himself, this is the only opportunity in the UK for 2008.

And there will be great African night party on 24 May with King Masco and a support act led by Landing Mané and special guests.

I have enclosed a booking form and if you need further information you can email Eliza on eliza[at]djembeschool.org or call her on 07887 683856

It is rare to see someone being outstanding at playing 2 different instruments. But Seckou is one of them. Seckou has been learning simultaneously the kora and West African percussions.

He plays variety of drums from his natal Mandinka Seourouba drum, to wolof drums, drum kit and of course the most known west African drum: the Djembe.

He has performed on drum kit and West African percussions on records for Baka Beyond, Jallikunda Cissokho, Elika and Solo, Mark Flanagan and Flook.

Seckou regularly works with a range of people and organisations:

Professional development for Manchester based group Tanante Tanante
