I wanted to take the opportunity to share some stories with you all. As some of you know, I have recently travelled back from Senegal where I spent the last 3 months. Going back to Casamance is always a way for me to reconnect with my home town, spend some time with my family, friends and get inspiration. I also led 2 drumming workshops and took part in a few performances. But this trip was also the opportunity for me to find out more about the work of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Senegal. I knew about some of their work. Colchester was the last city we visited last night with Afrodisiac. This was an experimental production devised by Welsh composer Charlie Barber. I had also a fabulous time with my long time friend Chartwell Dutiro, a master of the Mbira. Visuals were provided by Raul Seek.
With classical, African and Latin influences, I truly enjoyed being part of this and I hope that those of you who came loved the journey.

Getting my act together with my online connections!
I have had a Twitter account for over a year now and I have recently added the apps on my phone so I connect more easily and it means I can now tweet on the go!

Well, this is it! I really hope you like the new design and feel of the site. I know that some of you really loved the website with the African village theme …and I loved it too. But it is time for change. Also this website is just so much easier to update. Hopefully, you will find really useful, relevant and new info eveytime you come here.
